Why Choose KYRI

Established in 1981 in Lucknow, the Kundalini Yoga Research Institute (KYRI) is a premier institution dedicated to authentic yogic sadhana, inner transformation, and rigorous scientific research into human consciousness. Unlike commercial wellness studios, KYRI preserves the pure, lineage-based traditions of classical Kundalini yoga while integrating modern clinical psychology and psychotherapy.

KYRI is officially registered under the Government of India Society Registration Act, 1860, and was documented in The Directory of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy in India, published by the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India (1998, Page 271). KYRI is also recognized by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Directorate (Letter No. 13718/6/TT/2002) and recommended by the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune (Letter No. ½(4)/895).

Extensive Archival Library & Study Resources

The institute maintains a specialized research library comprising rare and foundational texts on Kundalini science, Tantra, Advaita Vedanta, Ayurveda, clinical psychology, and psychosomatic medicine. Students and researchers receive comprehensive study materials compiled personally by Dr. Dinanath Rai, synthesizing classical texts with decades of clinical observation.
